Shootings leave 2 dead in South Dade
Two people were killed in unrelated shootings in South Miami-Dade County, police said Tuesday. A woman was fatally shot about 11 p.m. Monday in what police described as a home invasion robbery at 27260 SW 167th Ct.
Soldiers hike to quake-buried Chinese villages
Soldiers hiking over landslide-blocked roads reached the epicenter of China's devastating earthquake Tuesday, pulling bodies and a few survivors from collapsed buildings. The death toll of more than 12,000 was certain to rise as the buried were found.
